ATRS Recognized as Big Brothers Big Sisters' 2025 Partner of the Year

This year, we are thrilled to announce that Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas (BBBSCA) has honored us as their 2025 Partner of the Year. This recognition reflects our strong, ongoing partnership with this incredible organization and the shared mission to support local communities and drive meaningful change.

A Shared Mission to Empower Youth

At the heart of Big Brothers Big Sisters is the commitment to creating and supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships that inspire and empower youth to reach their full potential. BBBSCA’s bold vision aims to make a lasting impact on children and families in the region by providing them with the resources, guidance, and mentorship needed to overcome challenges and seize opportunities.

For ATRS, partnering with BBBSCA has been an opportunity to support these goals through sustainable donation programs. Our mission aligns closely with theirs, helping families declutter, donate, and support meaningful causes without the hassle. By providing easy-to-use donation bins placed in high-traffic areas, we’ve enabled community members to contribute to a better future for youth in Arkansas, and all while making a positive environmental impact.

A Partnership That Grew

Our journey with BBBSCA started in January 2018, following a transition from a previous donation partner. Initially, BBBSCA relied on home-based pickups with only 15 donation bins in operation. However, after establishing relationships within the local community, ATRS was able to grow this program significantly, converting it into a bin-only operation.

Today, BBBSCA operates with a total of 144 donation bins placed in strategic locations across the community, offering residents a simple and accessible way to donate their gently used clothing, shoes, toys, and household items. This expansion has proven to be a win-win for both the organization and the local community, as it not only raises vital funds but also contributes to the reduction of textile waste and promotes sustainability.

Over $200,000 Raised for Local Youth Programs

Our partnership with BBBSCA has resulted in over $200,000 raised to help fund programs and services that support local youth. These funds are crucial in providing resources for children and families, empowering them to overcome challenges and realize their full potential. Whether it’s after-school programs, mentorship initiatives, or specialized services for at-risk youth, the financial support from our donation bins directly impacts the lives of those who need it most.
